Contemporary Suede

Location: Rifle, Colorado

The homeowners are newlyweds who often cook together or with friends. We designed this kitchen to accommodate two or more cooks.

OUR TASK: A custom build in a growing neighborhood. This kitchen makes use of social design details.  Millennial homeowners who prioritize entertaining and domestic peace. We needed smart storage and multiple work zones to keep the party going.

Cabinets: Maple Lyndale in KAFFE with Suede topcoat

We created a clean and chop station near the sink and trash. This keeps all the prep contained and clear from the person at the range doing the cooking. To keep surfaces clear, we used the spice drawer insert feature to the right of the range.  The pots and pans are neatly set in deluxe roll out trays to the left of the range.

For chic execution of hostess tasks while enjoying the converstaion, we put the sink in the peninsula. The trash pullout and the dishwasher are on either side. This creates an effortless clean up station with plenty of counter space.

To accommodate last minute dinner parties or experimental weeknight recipes, we added a pantry cabinet equipped with four deluxe roll out trays.  We put the pantry to the left of the fridge in favor of creating continuous work surfaces.
